ZANZIBAR ISLAND 2025
July 17th - 20th, 2025
Not ready to leave Africa after our Serengeti Safari? We won’t be either! That’s why we invite you to join us in Zanzibar Island! Located in the Indian Ocean, just 15 miles off the coast of Tanzania, the final leg of our African Adventure for All will take us to Zanzibar Island and one of the most beautiful beaches in the region, and maybe the world.
Looking for a chance to relax? Look no further than the pool at our hotel, overlooking the beach, or you can go to the beach itself. Looking for wildlife? Catch the Red Colobus monkey in Jozani National Park. They’re known for being full of personality and quite photogenic. Does cave swimming sound exciting? Of course it does! We’ll get our chance to swim in the clear, clean waters of Kuza Cave and maybe even watch some sea turtles swim by. Our final excursion on Zanzibar Island will give us the chance to swim in the Indian Ocean. A once in a lifetime opportunity for many!
If you want to extend your African Adventure, be sure to register for our Zanzibar Island excursion. We can’t wait to make lasting memories with you!

Where are we going? Each year we take trips to: Yellowstone, Zion, and Alaskan National Parks. We hope you'll join us!
-
Can my friend(s) come along with me?That might be possible. Get in touch with us, and let's talk. We can walk you and your friend through the process so you can both apply.
-
How many kids will be there, and will we all be in one group? Our program has anywhere between 8 to 12 kids.
-
If there are multiple groups, can my little brother not be in my group? Please? While we're sure you and your brother are both bound to make tons of new friends and have loads of fun, we're always together as one group.
-
How will I make friends? We have tons of group activities and ice-breakers, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet your travel buddies!
-
How old are all the kids?Kids from the 4th grade to 12th grade can go on these trips.
-
What will we do?Generally, we enjoy going for a hike, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. There are also plenty of opportunities to learn about geology, wildlife, geothermal, marine life, and history! Additional activities are largely dependent on where we go.
-
What will we eat?Standard breakfast food is how we generally start the days, followed by packed picnic-style lunches at midday, and team-cooked dinners in the evening. We pre-order all of our food from the grocery store prior to arrival, taking into account individual dietary needs.
-
Can I bring my cellphone? I promise I'll only use it to take pictures!Yes. We don't take away cell phones. Use them to take as many photos as you want. However, service is going to be very limited. Don't come assuming you'll be spending all day texting your friends back home.
-
Can we choose our roommate(s)?Yes!
-
What should I pack?We encourage you to pack all the standard clothes and toiletries. In addition, we provide a unique pack list for each trip.
-
Will we have electricity? That depends on where we are staying on any given day. Many places provide electricity, but not all of them.
-
Will I be able to take showers and blow dry my hair?Showers will be available. Blow drying you hair will be possible in the locations where we have electricity.
-
Is there a swimming pool? There are no pools, but there's a chance to take a dip in most of the places we go. Splashing around in nature's waters is better than those "concrete ponds" anyway!
-
My school requires volunteer hours. If I help out, can I count some of my time towards meeting that requirement?Certainly. Let's talk about that to be sure we meet all your school requirements ahead of the trip!
-
What if I get my period? Will there be access to a store to buy those kind of supplies? In Yellowstone and Zion National Park, there will be access to a store. When there are girls attending, we will always have a female chaperone carrying extra supplies as well.
